The 100-inch TV just got stupid cheap

13

Huge TV. Massive drop in price. You won’t believe it.

Look, a hundred inches of screen real estate used to be the kind of luxury only millionaires in hillbilly mansions could justify. Now, Amazon is bleeding it out for the lowest price we’ve ever seen. We are talking about a Toshiba Z670 Series dropping to $2,299. That’s a $1,700 haircut from the list price of nearly four grand.

Forty-three percent off. Just like that.

It’s May 2026. If you’re looking to transform your living room into an IMAX theater on a weekend afternoon, this is your sign. Or your warning, depending on how big your doorframes are.

Why does this cost less than a used Honda?

It’s not cheap plastic. This isn’t one of those panels that wash out in the sunlight. It uses Mini LED technology with Full Array Local Diming. Which sounds technical. Which is good because it means the blacks look black instead of gray, and the highlights don’t look like overexposed film from the 1950s.

Powering all that pixel manipulation is the REGZA Engine ZRi Gen3. It uses AI. Lots of it. The TV analyzes scene by scene, tweaking contrast and brightness before your brain even registers what it’s watching. It’s supposed to make things look “natural.” Whatever that means these days.

The sound? Decent. Better than decent. There’s a built-in bass woofer under the bezel and dual speakers doing their best impression of a soundstage. REGZA Power Audio Pro. It’ll punch above its weight for a casual movie night, even if it won’t replace your dedicated receiver.

It adjusts the picture and sound scene by scene. A natural viewing experience. Or as natural as a slab of glass can be.

Fire TV inside the beast

It runs Amazon Fire TV. No extra boxes required. You’ve got Netflix, Prime Video, live channels. It’s all right there on the home screen, cluttered yes, but accessible.

Alexa is built into the hardware. You want to search for that show with the guy who talks about cars? You can just say it. Navigating the menu without the remote? Also possible. It works.

Sizes smaller than a billboard

Too big. Probably is. The 100-incher requires some serious interior design compromise. And elevator access. Or a helicopter.

Amazon is discounting the smaller models too. If you can fit the 85-inch, great. The 65-inch, even better. Down to 55-inches, they’ve got deals across the board. But the 100-inch price tag is the one making people pause and stare at their wallets in confusion.

$2,300. For that size. For Mini LED.

It’s a steal. Until Amazon wakes up tomorrow and changes their mind. Deal pricing fluctuates. Inventory disappears.

You decide. Big screen, big hole in your wall budget, big night in.

Or don’t. Your living room looks fine as is.
